The Night Before 2007.

Party was a success. I am knackered, having been on my feet since 9am this morning. The guests have left, Rafa is asleep, and it's still three hours 'til midnight. I reckon I should probably wake him up.

Anyhoo, here are the pics...

This was the hit of the party, Nigella's Gravlax from her Christmas special. It tastes so amazing. Not overally sweet or salty, with the slightest hint of dill. I can't wait to eat it tomorrow with toast and cream cheese!

Nigella's Cucumber and Pomegrante Salad -- delish and punchy with lime juice.

Nigella's Eggplant, Mint and Yogurt Dip -- wonderful, and you could really taste the saffron.

Cheesy feet, walnuts, eggplant dip, serrano ham, red kidney bean dip, and erm, Nigella.

Nigella's Union Square Cafe nuts in the back. So yum!!

Nigella's Malteser Cake. Very very fabulous. Loved this cake. The middle layer is actually store-bought chocolate buttercream when I discovered I didn't have enough icing sugar to ice the entire cake. Not tragic.

Means 'Cake Here'. LOL. First time using chocolate moulds; thanks Francesca!! I didn't want to keep using the same letters because it would take me forever, so I decided on this obvious message instead of something more apropos like 'Shana Tova', which is Happy New Year in Hebrew.

That's moi putting on the Maltesers (mwah, mwah, Kelly Jane!). Check out that concentration. And that strange hair!

Fee Fi Fo Fum. Nigella's Cheesy Feet - with actual feet shapes; thanks, Francesca!!

More cheesy feet and snowflakes. Liam practically ate all of them. He's into orange things presently. LOL.

Pizza bianca with chorizo and serrano ham. Bianca was lovely.

Marinated olives. Didn't love these. You can't jazz up canned pitted olives, sorry. (I don't mean glass cans, I mean aluminum. Blech.)

My grinning mug eating the gravlax with bread. HAPPY NEW YEAR!
