This woman can't be stopped!

I have felt bad that my sister still hasn't tasted the Minimalist Loaf. Like me, she is really nuts about great bread. So.... I made another one! This is becoming somewhat of an addiction!

I asked her to come pick up the loaf after her dance class... and I also made her blackberry jam, straight from the words of the Domestic Goddess herself, Nigella Lawson. I took a few licks of this fabulous jam; it is out-of-this-world, and so easy to make! One small punnet makes just about 6-8 ounces of jam. Perfect for gift-giving and spoiling the people you love!

Blackberry Jam - variation of recipe in How to Be a Domestic Goddess -- Nigella Lawson

1 small punnet blackberries
3/4 cup of sugar
juice of 1/2 lime, or lemon

Place a saucer into a freezer.

Put all ingredients into a deep saucepan and heat on a low flame until the sugar dissolves. This will take between 3 and 5 minutes. Raise the heat so that liquid boils, and continue to boil until the jam thickens. Take a teaspoon of the jam off the heat and place on saucer. Let it cool, and once it does, touch it to see if it hardens. If it does, the jam is set. If not, continue boiling until it reaches setting point. Watch the saucepan as the jam boils up very high. This is why a deep saucepan is good for this type of cooking.

Pour into a sterilized 6 to 8 ounce jar. Refrigerate and enjoy.
